Introduction to Digital Photography: Tuesdays Jan 18 - Feb 22 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
Leave your old 35mm camera at home and come learn the new standard in photography. Introduction To Digital Photography is the quickest and most enjoyable way to start using your digital camera with confidence! You'll learn how to use camera features such as shutter speed, depth of field, and white balance. Do you know the difference between a JPEG and a TIFF file? You'll find out in this six-week course. Each two-hour class is packed with useful information that will inspire you to start taking better pictures. Whether you're using your first digital camera or your tenth, this is the class to take if you care about mastering the fundamentals. Come join us, and bring plenty of questions and enthusiasm, as well as your digital camera to class! (Completion of this course is required for the Digital Photography Certificate)


Photographing the Subject: Tuesdays Mar 8 - Apr 12 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
Do you have an interest in portraiture? How about landscape, still life, or travel photography? Whether you want to learn about all of these or just how to take better family photos, this class is for you. This six-week course will survey the great themes of photography. You'll learn how to set up the camera and compose and light the field. You'll get hands-on experience behind the camera, both in the classroom and in the field. Lectures are based on student work, and handouts will assist in at-home learning. Please bring your digital camera, your creativity, and plenty of questions to class. Adobe Photoshop Tips and Tricks: Wednesday Jan 19 - Feb 23 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
Unlock the secrets of photo manipulation with Adobe Photoshop Tips and Tricks! This six-session class will cover many of the hidden features found in Photoshop and you'll discover uncommon tools not covered in most Photoshop textbooks. If you are interested in learning how to make impressive pictures with just a bit of training, then this is the class for you! Each two-hour session will include lecture, class discussion, and plenty of hands-on use with Adobe Photoshop. This class is designed for all levels of users, and class direction will be based on student interest and questions. Plenty of handouts will be provided for at-home learning. How to Build a Web Site with Adobe Photoshop: Wednesday Mar 9 - Apr 13 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
Take this new class and learn how to build your own web site in less than six weeks. Web sites are the best way of showcasing your family photos; they don't require you to make costly inkjet prints or clog up anyone else's e-mail. Get the most out of your digital camera investment by learning to share your pictures with family and friends all over the world, as well as across the street! In this class, you'll cover not only the basics of web site construction and design, but also how to purchase a name for your site and how to get your site onto the Internet. This class will answer questions you didn't even know to ask about building your very first web site in a way that's fun and interesting. Even though this is a class for beginners, your finished web site won't look it. Incorporating professional widgets like rollovers, slices, image maps and more, by the end of the course you'll create a site that truly appears state of the art. This class requires no previous experience, but will provide added insight for those with experience building web sites.
